EARTHQUAKE AT SUMATRA

In connection with the Sumatra earthquake, which destroyed the Government offices and killed many persons, several slight tremors wero recorded in Australia last Week. ELEVEN NATIVES KILLED. (Received June 29, 9.10 a.m.) THE HAGUE, 28th June. , The chief centre of the earthquake was at Benkoejen, on the west coast, where eleven natives were killed and many injured. All the Europeans are safe.
