GERMANY AKD BRITAIN. SPEECH BY HON. T. MACKENZIE. (By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright.) LONDON, 27th Juno. The Hon. T. Mackenzie (High Commissioner for New Zealand), speaking at the New Zealand dinner at the Trocadero, amplified his recent remarks at Hull. He declared that without unduly pressing the matter New Zealand would not fchut her eyes to tho fact that if Germany fails to take her goods and expects England to buy German gods, "we would be taking Irom a nation which bars us articles which could be manufactured in the United Kingdom, whose workers consume our meat, butter, and cheese." He added : "British articles intrinsically were of better value than German."
