NAVUA DELAYED.

The Union Company's 6teamer Navua was delayed at Apia (Samoa) during the week on her way from Island ports to Auckland. She sailed from Suva last Friday night for Auckland, where the is due to-morrow evening or early the following morning, The Nuvua will not come on to Wellington this trip, and her fruit for the South will be transhipped. In consequence of this the Monowai, which under ordinary circumstances would leave Auckland for southern ports on Tuesday, will be held back until Wednesday at 3 p.m. She will call here on Saturday, and land fruit transhipments ex Navua. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company's B.M.S. Atlienic, which sailed from London on Friday last, is due here about the 11th August. The well-known scow Haere, formerly of the Ford Shipping Line, bu,t recently owned by Alison and Company, of Devonport, Auckland, has been sold to Mr. C, F. liaddy, of Frankton Junction, late owner of the scow Dominion (says the Auckland Star). The Haere is a hold scow of 90 tons register, and carries ICO tons under hatches. She was built in 1003, by Mr. O. Niccol, of Auckland. The vessel Is nov» undergoing a general overhaul, on completion of which she will again enter the coastal trade of New Zealand, in charge of Captain T. Baddy. Bound for Vancouver the X.M.S. Niagara is timed to sail from Auckland at 8 p.m, on Friday — two hours earlier than usual.
