LODGE MEETINGS
C.R. Bvo. F. Clark presided at the half-yearly meeting of Court Epuni Lodge, A.0.F., hel^ last evening. The following officers were elected loi- the ensuing term':— C.R. , Bro. Mudge; S.C.R., Bro. GreenheJd; S.W., Bro. Montgomery ; J. W., Bro. Willcocks ; ! 5.8., Bro. Handford; J. 8., Bro'. Wray; M.S., Bro. Gates. Bro. Clark was nominated for the office of D.J.8.. A special trophy is to be given, to the member who proposes tho > most members during the coming <*ix months. C.R. Bro. W. Clark, who has been two terms in the ohair, was presented with o, gold pendant. On© candidate was proposed. It was leportcd that cash receipts totalled £169 18s lOd. Thero wa» a lorge sittundanco of both members and visitors at tho weekly session session of the Star of Wellington Lodge, 1.0.G.T , held in St. inter's Mission Hall, Taranaki-atreet. Tho visitors included Bros. Bafecand (Christchnrch), M'Kinnon (Dunedin) and Peterson (Shannon), also a largo number of members of the Excelsior Juvcnilo Temple, under Sister Atkinson, S.J.W. Bro. Bascand guve a. most interesting address to the Juveniles. Musical items wcro rendered t>y Sisters Brown, M'Cauley (2), Douglas (2), Lanton (2), and Webb (encored). 3ro. Wyee i was presented with the prize won by him in a competition at the provious meeting. Next i meeting is to be in chargo of Bro. N. Ingram. Tho Prido of Brooklyn Lodge, No. 58, U.A.0.D., held its usual meeting in the Masonic Hall, Brooklyn, The opening was conducted by A.D. Bro. O. Bengo, after which V.A. Bro. Donoy was placed in tho chair for examination by D.P. Bro. Edge, prior to being installed as Arch Druid. After correspondence) liad beeu dealt with, the officers were installed by D.P. Bro. Edge, assisted by D.P. Bro. Beu, who acted as Mastor of Ceremonies. The installation was conducted in a moat impressive manner. Tho officers i hanked tho lodge for tho honours conferred upon them, and for the confidence placed in them by tho lodge. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to D.P. Bro. Edge for the very able manner^ in \\ hich ho installed the officers, also to D.P. Bro. Beu for acting as Master of Ceremonies, and for their attendance in lodge. The lodgo did not go into harmony, so "Sing, say, or pay" holds good for next lodgo night, when two trustees will be nominated, elected, and installed. Court Sir William Jervpis, A.0.F., held its half-yearly meeting in SI. Thomas's Hall, Nowiown, last. work. O.R. Bro. J. Mills presided, nnd a large number of members were present. A discussion look place on the question of the order having a permanent district secretary. The question was dually held over.
