WELLINGTON SOUTH CLUB.

The second round of the Wellington South Chess Club's 1914 handicap tourney was contested on Friday evening, with the following result : — Allen won from Bland, Purchas from Booth, Douglas fiom Periott, Welton from Murray, Thompson from Clark, and Loney from Harper. The game, Weine v. Laugton, stands adjourned at an interesting stage. The fixture, Armstrong v. Berry, was postponed, as the former could not attend.
