OLYMPIC CLUB. The Olympic Club's test race took place from Oriental Bay Kiosk on Saturday, when the members were the guests of Mr. F. Hodson, and was a decided success. The test took the form af a teams' race, the course being from' the kiosk to about a quarter of a mile past the Patent Slip and back 3 a distance of about four and a, half miles. Four teama of three men each were selected (all three men to count), and the result, after a close race, was F. Hodson's team first with 18 points, J. F. Byrne's and C. Murray's teams tieing for second place with 19 points each, and F. Burrell's team next with 23 points. Th« first three men home were J. F. Byrne, C. Murray, and F. Hodsou. After the race the members were entertained at afternoon tea by Mr. Hodson, when the , selectors made known the following teams which will represent the club in ,t/he Provincial Cross Country Championships on 18th July. A team; J. F. Byrn« (captain), C. Murray, F. Hodson, 'F. J. Burrell, C. A. Byrne, R. Cook, B team : E. A. Shaw {captain), W. Linden, W. Morris, S. Wallace, F. Sullivan. 0, Dickson. The men are requested to go into earnest training immediately, and are reminded that the club captain will be at ♦Ho Basin P»eserve four nights this week to git them ahead with their work. The run tin's week will take place frorj Thornrion Baths.
