LACROSSE
KELBUBN v. WELLINGTON. In spite of the heavy state of the ground this match was keenly contested, and resulted in a victory for Kelburn by 7 goals to 5. For the winners Hiddleeton and Jones played a, brilliant game on attack, the combination being of a very high order. On • defence. Proud and King were very safe. For the losers Firth at third home played excellently, and was well backed up by Bowen. Caufcie. N. Lee, and Woods, on defence, also played well. Wellington were unfortunate in having their brilliant goalkeeper (Hastie) injured in the second haif. CAPITOL v. COLUMBIA. This match was postponed.
