THE BRITANNIA.

"The Opium Smoker," a three-reel Nordisk drama, is the star attraction of today's programme at the Britannia. Tho subject is a dramatic one and affords the author unlimited scopo for powerful scenes. Hugo Kaufniann, tho opium smoker, is jealous of his elder brother Ernest, who is affianced to Kenny Brinkman. When the engagement is announced Hugo takes to smoking heavily, filling his mind with thoughts and hallucinations of his brother. In his* maflness he attempts his brother' s t life, and also tries to secure Henny. His failures and the effects of the opium prove fatal, and he falls lifeless to the ground. The supporting subjects are "All in the Air" (a Lubin comedy ), "Billy and the Butler' 1 (comedy drama), "Our Darlings" (a child study), and the latest Warwick Chronicle. ,
