ORGAN RECITAL.

Tho weekly organ recital given by Mr. Bernard F. Page, the City Organist, at the Town Hall on Saturday gave the audience an evening's complete enjoyment. One of tho main items was the fino prelude to Act I. of Wagner's " Tristan and Isolde," the playing of which was a masterly performance and tho delight of tho .audience. Tho piece was repeated in response to the hearty reception the item was given. Faulkes's " Sonata, in D Minor, an elaborate composition of the modern school, was another interesting item. Bach's *• Pastorale," delicately played so as to bring out all its varied beauties, waß one of the most enjoyable pieces jn the programme. Other items were Lemare's " Romance in D Flat," Hoffmatin's " Scherzo," Saint-Saens's " Benediction Nuptiale, " Air and Gavotte " (Samuel Wesley), and Faulkes's " Rhapsody " (founded oil the melody " 0 Sons and Daughters "). Lovers of Wagner's music will be interested in tho fact that a recital of works by that composer will bo given on Saturday, 11th July.
