MISCHA ELMAN'S NEW ZEALAND TOUR.
In the Town Hall on Thursday and Saturday next Mischa Elman will mnke his two (and only) appearances, and if the critic of the Melbourne Herald may be quoted it should prove an interesting occasion. Mischa Elman, now only twenty-three years of age, has been before tho English, Continental, and American publics for the past ten years, consequently he is the full .development of the wonderful boy prodigy, as he was called. Elman,_ it is interesting to recall, was a favourite of the late King Edward, and is still a welcome visitor to the Queen Mother Alexandra and the King and Queen. tHman naturally values this friendship so highly that ho constantly wears tho diamond pin which tho present King handed him laefoie lie (Elman) went to America. Associated with Mischa' Elniah in his concerts here will be Mile. Eva Gauthier, tho French'" Canadian me22o-Boprano, who has appeared at Coyent Garden, London, and the Metropolitan Opera House in New York. Tho pianist will be Mr. Percy Kahn, who nas now been associated with Elman for the past five years. The box plan for both concerts is now open at tho Dresden Piauo Company, Lambton-quay.
