The following cable has been sent to tho London office :;— "No. 9 level, Reptile crosscut, commencing at 1100 ft, driven to tho wost : . At 51ft total width of lode is Bft, value^ 4s 6d per ton. Empire lode west of No. 2 shaft : South-enst crosscut 27ft, value per ton £3 10s; at 71ft the lode is Bffc wide, value per lon £2 2s; No. 10 level, Roynl lodo west of No. 5 shaft crosscut, 12ft driven, value per ton £2 2s 6d. Royal lode east of No. 5 shaft crosscut: Lode at Blft in, crosscut to tho south, driven to the south 37ft, value por ton 9s 6d j tho width of tho lode is about' 2^ft. Empire lode, west of No. 2 shaft crosscut : At 210f I tho total width of t\te lode is 15ft ; first 3ft, valued at 8s ; next 2ft, country rock; last 10ft, Value £1 Os 6cl. Edward lode, couth of Welcome: East section of lodo 40ft; value por ton, £3 Os 6d. No. 11 level, Royal north section, south drive: 23ft driven; value per ton 16s 6d. The lode is mixed with country. North orosscufc is now down in 132 ft. At 103 ft have intersected carbonaceous eeani, dip 28 degrees from the horizontal 6outh-cast."
