Both Houses passed the Supply Bills, and valedictory speeches were made. Mr. Cook (Prime Minister) said he hoped the coming elections would bo able to shape the issues properly and get an intelligent verdict from tho people. The Constitution was on its trial. A member interjected : " Sir Ronald Munro-Fergnson (the Governor-General) is*on his trial." Mr. Cook replied that all the blame should be placed' on his shoulders (Mr. Cook's) ! the further away they kept the Governor-General tho better for all concerned. Mr. Fisher (Leader of the Opposition) said he was pleased that the battle was being transferred from tho Hottse to the hustings.
