AWKWARD FOR LORD BRASSEY

The Daily Mail's Berlin correspondent states that Lord Brassey (a, former Governorof Victoria and an authority on naval matters), who was on a visit to Kiel in his yacht Sunbeam, was arrested yesterday by the harbour police on suspicion of espionage. Lord Brassey was being rowed in a, dinghy near to the Imperial Dockyards. 'The floating, dock near by has a huge sign warning trespassers that they will bti punished Under the espionage law. It took Lord Brassey seventy»iivo minutes to establish his identity and secure his release. KAISER MAKES ENQUIRY. Lord ( Brassey landed and strolled in the vicinity of the shipyards, not being aware of the prohibitive regulations. He was arrested, though well known at Kiel. The Kaiser personally enquired into thA affair, and Lord Brassey assured him that lie had been courteously treated.
