For commercial transport and passes ger service, the Argyll motor vehicle has set a standard in New Zealand. Argyll motor-buses have made a pronounced success of the Timaru municipal motor service, and have been adopted for the Kelburne motor-bus system and the Pahiatua-Pongaroa motor mail service, among others, while the Argyll motor lorry is widely used by public bodies and private firms for transport purposes.
