. CHILD'S LONG TRAMP. (6T TELEGRAPH.- PRFSS <SSOCIATION.) GISBORNE, This Day. A,n extraordinary case was reported in the Juvenile Court this morning. The police yesterday apprehended a little girl, eight years of age, who was tramping overland with her father from Auckland. It was suited that the pair had tramped from Auckland, via Tauranga, and were on their way to Waipawa, Hawkes B=iy, to the man's brother. They h»d boon" sleeping in the open in the bitterly cold weather. The child, who was in a pitiable state, had been given clothes by sctikTS. Tin* child w?s amsted lor not being under proper control.
