LATE TENNIS
THE WIMBLEDON TOURNAMENT. (Bj Telegraph — l'reas Association.— Copyr'.tht.i (Received June 27, 3 p.m.) LONDON, 26th June. At the lawn tennis championship tournament at Wimbledon a fine aggressive contest was witnessed between Dunlop and Germot (reported in an earlier cable message). Dunlop throughout sought a volleying position. Gonnot frequently finished a rally with a deadly overhead smash. During the second set Germot frequently manoeuvred Dunlop out of the court. In the combined doubles Wilding and Miss Broguedis defeated Steward , and Miss Douglas, 6-1. 6-1. Froitzheim defealed A. Lowe, 6-3, 6-4, 5-7, 10-8. Ritchie and Prebble defeated Yencken Brothers, 6-3, 6-1, 8-6. Ma^rogordato and Doust in the match against Paike and Beamish have won tx set apiece — 6-2, 3-6. This game will be finished tomorrow.
