(Received May 21, 8.10 a.m.) LONDON, 20th May.s The- Daily Mail, referring to a world meat famine, states that cattle in Argen* tina are so expensivo that landowners are unable to properly stock their land. The public demand for meat is bo great that animals are sold whenever saleable. The demand for milk in England has led to a policy of slaughtering instead of breeding calves, and the difficulty has been increased by the Japanese be* coming meat eaters.
