Steady rain fell all the morning, accompanied by a cold southerly gale, making things very unpleasant. The attendance is fair and the track in good order considering the rain which has fallen. Results:-— Borough Handicap, of 200 soys ; 6 furlongs.- — Postillion, 9.1, 1 ; Sanguin ary. 7.1, 2; The Great Alogul. 7.11, 3. Sciatched : General Aladero. Sanguinary led till the straight, when Postillion took charge and won by two lengths, a neck between second and third. Time, lmin 16 3-6 sec. i Hack Steeplechase, of 1&5 'soys ; _ 2 miles. — Silver Monarch, 10.6, 1 ; Exotic, 10.7, 2; Alakiri, 9,7, 3. Scratched: Gondolier. A good race. Won by two and a-half lengths, four lengths between second and third. Time,'4min 19sec. Wanganui Steeplechase, of 600 isovs; three miles. — Jackman, 9.11, 1; Bercola, 12.0, 2; Riro Atu, 9.7, 3. Scratched : Gondolier and Sportsman. Won by thirty lengths, ten lengths between second, and third. Te Whetu and Alorihiko tell. Time, Gmin 24- 4-fisec. Kaitoke Hack Hurdles, of 120 soys ; one mile and three-quarters.-— Parewnnui, 9.4, 1; Sweet Breeze, 9.2, 2; Clemency, 9.8, 3. Scratched — Aruake and St. Gate. Won by three lengths.
