The police cases at the Magistrate's Court to-day were taken before Mr. D. G. A. Cooper, S.M. For drunkenness, Robert Matthews was fined 10s, with the alternative of forty-eight horn's' imprisonment. Deemed to be an idle and disorderly person in that she consorted with persons of ill-fame, Annie Carlson was sentenced to a month's imprisonment.
