AUSTRALIAN "CROOKS"
JRECENT THEFT AT ALEXANDRIA. (By Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright.) SYDNEY, 19th May. In connection with the £10,000 jewel robbery at Alexandria, the Superintendent of Police is of the opinion that tho perpetrators were three well-known " crooks " who left Australia recently. [It was cabled yesterday that the London Daily Chiomcle's Alexandria correspondent had reported that a gang of Australian burglars were on their way to England, and that while at Alexandria they had robbed Rosenfeld, a. jeweller, of £10,000 worthy of jewellery and gems.]
