Dublin opinion discredits the rumour of tho landing of American rifles and ammunition on the west coast of Ireland for the Nationalist volunteers. It Is believed that the fact that at a recent parade of the Nationalists the men carried American service rifles, the gift of Irish Americans, and that they followed a banner which was the gift of a New York lady, gavo rise to the story of the importations. . The Times, in a leading article on the political prospects, states that it has been proved that the question of Home Rule can never be settled by the Liberal Party. SIR EDWARD CARSON'S OFFENCE.
