Line's qlenmer Mimiro, from Liverpool direut, Aftei putting out v part cai'Kd nt tho northern port she will come on to Wellington, being expected here ttt about a weeks time. BORDERER DUE FRIDAY, In continuation of her voyage from Bunbury, the fteamer Borderer sailed from Atick* land last evening for Wellington. She has a part cai*go of hardwood for this port, and should arrive in time to commence discharge on iViday morning. This will be the vessel's first visit to Wellington. She is to complete discharge at Lyttelton and Dunedin, after which she proceeds to Mclbourno and Sydney.
LONDON TO WELLINGTON. SHAW-SAVILL LINER ARRIVES. Last night at 10 o'clock the Shaw-Savill liner Tainui arrived in Wellington from London on her fourteenth voyage. She brought a comparatively small number of immigrants, there being pnly 200 piissengcrs in the third-class. The outward journey was quite uneventful, and the roughest weather was that experienced in Cook Strait yesterday. "It blew pretty hard," said an ollicer, "but it did not aflect us much." London was left on -the 2nd April last, and Plymouth two days later. The first call was made at Tenerifte on tnc 9th April, and from there the Tainui was favoured with line weather to Capetown. At the South African port, which was reached at 9 a.m. on the 24th, 1000 tons of bunker coal were taken aboard, and the vessel left the same evening for Hobart. On the run across the Southern Ocean exceptionally line weather was experienced. A satisfactory run was made from Hobart to Wellington. The vessel berthed at the King's Wharf this morning, and landed a considerable quantity of mail matter. Tho nuinbiT of passengers booked for Wellington was 170— 157 of wliom were in the third-class. OJllcers on the Tainui are as follow : — Captain T. Moftatt, commander; Messrs. F. Greene, chief oillcer; W. Hartman. second; J. Jones, third; 11. Hatchwell, fourth; Geo. Greenhill, chief engineer; L. A. Miller, second; C. J. Muir, third; Dr. W. F.'McLefin, surgeon; L. J. Wahlers, purser. The Tainui has a fairly large cargo for Wellington and Lyttelton, and will probably go South in about a week's time. WITHIN WIRELESS RANGE. The following steamers should be within range of the undermentioned wireless stations to-night:— A wanui: Manuka. Auckland: Tahiti, Borderer, and Rimutaka. Wellington: Tahiti, Dlimaroa. Victoria, Warrimoo, Maori, and Watiitie. Awnrua : Moert'ki and Ulimaroiv. TAHITI'S EXPECTED ARRIVAL. Latdst advice by wireless from the R.M.S. Tahiti, en route from San Francisco, states that the vessel expects to anchor in tile stream at about 2 o'clock to-morrow morning. NAIRNSHIRE ARRIVES HOME. Advice has been received by cable of the arrival at Avonmouth on Monday last of the F. and S. Line's steamer Nairnshire, which sailed from Lyttelton on the 29th March. She is scheduled to leave Liverpool about the middle of June on the return trip to New Zealand. , BANFFSHIRE AT BOSTON. The initial voyage in the F. and S. Line's new service to America was completed on Monday last, when the Banft'shire arrived at Boston from Wellington, via Monte Video. The vessel sailed from this port on the 19th March. From Boston she goes to New York to complete discharge, after which she loads for Australian ports. _ __«■—_—— \ Wireless advice received yesterday from the Chatham Islands stated that the Himitangi was to le,ave at 4 p.m. for, Lyttelton and Wellington. She is bringing a cargo of fish for this port, and should show up here about Sunday afternoon next. The latest time-table arrangements in connection with the Westmeath's loading are as follow : — From Timaru, where she arrived on Monday, the vessel proceeds to Lyttelton, sailing again from there on Sunday for Waitara and Wellington. She is due here on the 28th May, and will be despatched for Avonmouth, via Las Pahnas, about the 30th May. The four-masted barquenDine Titania left Newcastle on the 12th May with 1762 tons of coal for Fiji.
