COMPENSATION CLAIM
TIMARU, 19th May. Mr. Justice- Stringer heard here tod^ay a claim for 'compensation by a workman against a Waimate contractor. 4 While working for defendant in May, 1916, removing a building, complainant suffered a fracture of the hip, through a wall being blown over on him. He liad not recovered the use of his leg and his earning power had been reduced from 37s to 20s a week. He had received £27 compensation up to September. The Court made an order for 17s a week.
