REMITS TO A. AND P. CONFERENCE
COST OF ARTIFICIAL MANURES. <BY TELEOKAPH- -SPECIAL TO THE POST.) PALMERSTON N. This Day. The Manawatu A. and P. Association yesterday decided to send the following remits to ttie Agricultural and Pastoral Conference : — That the conference having, affirmed the principle, it be now an instruction to the executive to set up j. committee to draft a scheme for submission to the Government requesting the investment of the Dominion Council of Agriculture with statutory governing powers ioyer all agricultural and pastoral associations in the Dominion; also, that an -endeavour be made to have the council given the status of a public body in any Act thus passed, with authority to' act on behalf of any individual agricultural and pastoral association. That the delegates to the Association Conference suggest the desirability of taking action to obtain a reduction in the present high cost of artificial manures in the Dominion, either by representation to the Minister of Agriculture or in such other manner as may be deemed advisable.
