TO-NIGHT'S BOXING

The semi-finals and finals of the amateur championships are set down for decision at the Town Hall to-night. In the feather-weight class' the semi-final ■between Leary and Stewart should provide an attractive display, and the final between the winner and Oliver should be worth witnessing. Other bout* which should find favour are those between Glading and Gerald (heavy-weights) and Finnic and Krausch (middle-weights). In view of the showing made by Macfarlane and Hunter, the association has presented a special trophy for a meeting between the pair, and if time permits patrons may have an opportunity of seeing an English champion, who is visiting Wellington, in an exhibition bout with Tim Tracy.
