Lecturing reoently nt the Academy of Medicine, Paris, Dr. Poncot stated that ho and M. Miery, of Lyons, had found virulent tuberolo baoilli in the perspiration of over 50 per cent, of the patients they had examined who wore Buffering from tuberculosis lesions of a surgical type. These, consisting' as they did of cases of rheumatism and peritonitis, wer© 'either inactive or feebly active. In those cases where the disease was strong active baoilli were almost always present. In fact, the violont sweats of the consumptive may be regarded as on© of Nature's moan* of getting rid of the poisonous microbes. Tho doctor insisted that it was necessary to disinfeot all clothing and other objects that had b*on contaminated by the sweat of the tuberoulous, and that separate bods should always be reserved for them. Recently Mr. F. H. Moleeworth, F.C.8., F.G.8., of Sydney, had a pound of dust swept up from a wharf, and found it to contain the bacillus of tuberculosis. Having immersed this in a 10 per cent. solu« tion of Lifebuoy Soap for 15 minutes, tho tuberole baoilli (whioh were fairly numerous) were all destroyd. Household dust he treated Jn the same manner, with the samo practical results, dearly demonstrating the strong gormioidal powers of Lifebuoy Sfcap. _It is a very simple matter to destroy disease germs Li the weekly wash, and there is no surer way of doing this than by using Lifebuoy Soap in the Laundry, as well as for general household work. Lifebuoy Soap will not hurt the skin ; in faot, it is very largely used as a bath soap, readily washing off perspiration, and at the same time destroying any disease germ* that may be in tho perspiration, = f| Fashion Says, " "Wear Jaeger Apparel" Jaeger Garments are fashionable II and becoming.
