WELLINGTON KENNEL CLUB'S FIXTURE. The Wellington Kennel Club* twentyseventh annual dog show was opened in the Harbour Board's X Shed, on Waterloo-quay, thw afternoon. The number of exhibits constitutes a record for New Zealand, being 380 (in all classes), as against 340 last year. Competition in fox terrier* is very keen, no less than eighty being on view. Another well contested class is that of the Irish setters, which number fifty, and pointers are also well represented, being thirty in number. Taken all round, the quality is very good, while the variety is excellent.

The fracture occurred quite done to the boiler, and as the pipe leads up to the whole of the deck machinery, it was decided to have the neceeeaiy repair* effected before the Martai sailad.
