FULLERS' PICTURES.

One of the best all-round programmes presented by the Fuller Proprietary for some time was screened at the Skating Rink last evening before a large audience. The new arrivals were chiefly conspicuous by the inclusion of four splendid dramatic studies, one of which —"The Convict's Parole" — was of unusually high quality. This latter film— an Edison production— told of the introduction of the parole system into American convict life and the efforts of an infamous prison warder to wreck the new scheme. In league with a band 'of contractors (not altogether eager for the success of the system) and an accomplice, the warder makes desperate attempts to gain his end, but is finally frustrated by the governor of the gaol. Another film which portrayed a powerful story, with a spice of adventure, was " A Man's Lust for Gold," while a thrilling detective story showing the sensational arrest of a gang of coiners was contained in "The Coiners." "Passing Shadows," an appealing drama with a strong element of true human feeling, showing how a harsh man is made to relent, was another subject that at ohce found favour with the audience. Of tho merrier side of the > programme, perhaps the most popular iterft*-and deservedly so— was an A.B. release, entitled " One* round O'Brien." Tho humour of the fighting ring was well portrayed in this picture, the plot being original and clever. "Don't Touch It" was another film of the laughter-raising type, while a good idea of the nature of the work carried out by the Italian artillel-y could be derived from a film entitled " Italian Artillery." The programme, which will be repeated to-night, also contained si large number of other films of an equally interesting nature.
