PROFOUND DISAPPOINTMENT
INDIA AND THE GOVERNMENT BILL. CALCUTTA, 27th June. Surendranath Banerjee, editor of tho Bengalee, states that the. statement made by Lord Crewe, Secretary of State for India, in the House of Lords on Tuesday on the Government of India Bill has caused profound disappointment. Satyendra P. Sinha. member of the Viceroy's Executive Council, declares that the statement will deepen the 1 diecontent already existing in the country.
