PARADE INTERRUPTERS
Two youths, Aldred Howard and Caleb Tilyard, were before Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M., this morning, charged with having interrupted a parade of the St- Thomas's Cadets at Palm-grove on 31st May. Lieutenant Smith, who was in charge of the papade, and Sergeant-Major E. J. Shearn, gave evidence that six or eight youths had stood about the parade ground, yelling out countermanding orders, and had made drilling impossible. They would not leave when asked to do so, and the police were rung up. Both youths, when asked by the Magistrate, said they were themselves senior cadete. Mr. Riddell, pointing out how necessary it was that this sort of behaviour should be stopped, said the Act allowed ti bubbtantiul fine. In this instance, the boys had, apparently, forgotten themselves, and he would let them off lightly. He ordered them to pay the Court cofita, lls. . ' Another interrupter was similarly dealt with in the Juvenile Court.
