HOCKEY.
GOVERNMENT INSURANCE CLUB. Mi". J. H. Richardson presided over the annual meeting of the Government Life Insurance Hockey Club. It was decided to enter for the senior and junior competitions. Officers were elected as follow : President, Mr. J. H. Richardson ; vice-presidents, Messrs. Fox, Hudson, Robertson, Barltrop, Niven, and Dr. Cahill j club captain, Mr. J. W. Macdonald (re-elected) ; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr. H. Cameron (re-elected) ; delegates to association, Messrs. Macdonald and Arnold ; hon. auditor, Mr. G. S. Nicoll) general committee, Messrs. Fullerton, Bennett, and Selby. HEREAWA CLUB. The following officers were, elected at the annual meeting of the Hereawa Hockey Club.* Patron, Mr. G. Winder, president, Mr. R. Holdsworth; vicepresidents, Drs. Izard and Cameron, Messrs. H. Price, A. Kuch, J. Gow, F. J. Caterer, J. C. Cusack, and A. Beggs; club captain, Mr." H. M'Dowell; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr H Brute, management committee, Messrs. Needham, Caterer, and Clementson;' delegate to Wednesday Association, Mr. Needham: selection committee, -Messrs. J, Dowling, P. Caterer, and F. Kuch. METROPOLITAN CLUB. The Metropolitan Hockey Club having secured the services of lie. Baker,' exAuckland representative, and, several senior players from other districts, intends entering teams for the senior and junior competitions. From present indications the senior team promises to be a very strong one, j/articularly in the backs. Anyone ' desirous of' becoming a member will kindly communicate with the • (Mr. R.
