There are no details as to the cause or how the passengers fared, but it is understood, they escaped. passengers~lose all belongings. outbreak probably caused by bush fires. (Received February 5, 9.40 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. The fire was discovered by a passenger while the train wae in motion. The train was pulled up, and thirty -five pasaengers in the two corridor cars made a hurried exit. They lost all their belongings, and the cars were completely destroyed. The damage ie set down at £3500. The cause of the outbreak is unknown, but it is probably due to the bush fires.
