The Moana left Sydney at noon on Satar< day for Wellington. »The vessel, which has on board 150 passengers for all ports, should arrive early on Wednesday morning. The Arahura arrived at Westport at 8 p.to yesterday from Wellington, via ports, and left at 2 o'clock this morning for Greymoufch. The Poherua is expected to get away from Greymouth to-morrow afEertoon for Wellington. The Mono-wai was timed to leave Napier at 2 o'clock this afternoon for Wellington. The Rosamond left Onehunjra at 6,40 o'clock this morning for Wellington direct. The Pukaki is to leave WentpOTt at 8 o'clock this evening for Timaru, The Kini •will sail from the same port at noon tomorrow for Dunedin. Mr, Chudwick joined the Pateena to-day as chief officer, Mr. McDonald having gone ashore for orders. Mr. Cordy, second officer on the Pateeria, and Mr. Birch, second on the Mapourika, exchanged positions this morning. An exchange states that the largest cargo Of superphosphates yet imported into New Zealand was brought to Auckland by the steamer Beckenham on Saturday from Japan. The cargo totals 6750 tons, ISOO tons of which will be landed at Auckland, and the balance At Napier, Lyttelton, and Timam. Being in bulk, the whole of the cargo will be put into bags before being discharged. The Holmdale was to leave Greymouth today for Lytteltoti. The Ehnerdale left Oamarn on Saturday night for Auckland. The Cape Ortegal, which is coming to New Zealand from New York under charter to the Tyser Line, is to leave Sydney to-day, or tomorrow ' for Auckland, The vessel is expected at Wellington about the 6tll Septem* ber. i Owing to the death of the wife of Captain J. Carlson, Captain Petersen, local representative of Richardson and CO., Will take the Ripple from Wellington as far as Napier tomorrow. The Moa is to leave Wanganui to-flight with a load of stock for Westport. The vessel will return, to Wanganui with coal.
