Ryan, the last man in, added 7 runs to the score, then Anthony got his wicket. Play lasted only twentyfive minutes. The three wickets fell for 13 runs, making the total 167. Auckland thus won by an innings and 275 runs. Pearson took two wickets for 37, Taylor four for 35, Anthony two for 7, Sneddon one for 32, Kerr none for 35, Bush none for 5.
