DEFENCE OF INSANITY. [BX TELEGRAPH — PBESS ASSOCIATION.) AUCKLAND, This Day. In the Supreme Court, during the hearing of the charge of wife murder against A. A. Cash, Dr. Lindsay expressed the opinion that accused was insane when the deed "was committed. His mind was an absolute blank. Dr. Murray, on the contrary, held theopinion that the prisoner knew what he •was doing. In cross-examination, Lho latter admitted that if the facts given in evidence were correct they tended to show that accused was suffering from phthisical insanity.
