CABINET CRISIS. ACCUSATION AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT. MINISTRY WILL RESIGN. By. Telegraph.— Press Association.— Copyright, PARIS, 25th February. In the Chamber of Deputies, the Socialist-Radical Party accused the Government of conniving with the religious Orders in securing the reopening of their schools in order to curry favour with the Centre .Party. The Prime Minister, M. Briand, vigorously denied the charge, and a vote of confidence in the Government was carried by 262 votes to 238. Despite the vote, the Cabinet will resign after the funeral of the late General Brun, Minister for War. 'WHAT INFLUENCES M. BRIAND. M. DELCASSE SPOKEN OF AS NEXT PREMIER. (Received February 27, 9.20 a.m.) PARIS, 26th February. M. Briand' s proposed action is said' to be influenced by his vanishing majority, which, shows that the Chambers desire a change of leadership. M. Pichon (Foreign Minister) and others intend to withdraw from the Ministry if M. Briand resigns. M. Delcasse (late Foreign Minister) is spoken oi as next Premier. [M. Briand has been Prime Minister since 1909. In November last he resigned because of a Socialist attack on the Government's action in regard to the railway strike. This despite a vote of confidence. He resumed office, however, after reconstruction of the Ministry.]
