MEETING OF THE COUNCIL. ; r/BY TELEGBAPH — PBBSS ASSOCIATION.] CHR-ISTCHURCH.. 25th February. The New Zealand Boxing Council decided to vote 10 . guineas to the fund being raised to send Zealand representatives to the Festival of Empire. The Millerton Association was granted permission to arrange a match between Tracy and Bromwich for the light-weight championship. The matter of Rudd's disqualification was referred back to the Hawkes Bay Association for further consideration. The case of B. Ellis, who failed co get down to the proper weight for the Australasian championship meeting, was fully considered, and Ellis's explanation was accepted. The chairman stated that the council had no desire to punish Ellis for an error of judgment, but steps would have to be taken in future to guard against a repetition of the trouble. The council decided to ask the centres for reports on the judging systems in vogue, with a view to introducing a uniform system in the Dominion.
