In the Federal House o£ Representatives the Bill fixing laws .and. regulations for the provisional government for the Federal capital was read a first time. Mr. Hughes, Acting-Prime Minister,, has moved the second reading of the. Bill dealing with trade combines and monopolies. NEW SOUTH WALES-LAWS. (Received October 19, 10.30 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. In the Bill for the provisional government of the Federal territory it is* provided that a number of New South Wales laws, including industrial and local government laws, shall apply. Where the State law continues (in other respects), it shall be subject to any ordinance by the Governor-in-Geiieral. '
