# A SUFFRAGETTE DEMONSTRATION. CHANCELLOR ASSAULTED. By Telegraph.— Press Association. — Copyright. LONDON, 18th October. During the Chancellor of the Exchequer's address to the Liberal Christian League at the City Temple, the suffragists assembled outside the building, and on Mr. Lloyd-George emerging he was greeted by them with cries of "Hypocrite !" "Scoundrel !" and "Traitor!" Two men were arrested for striking Mr. Lloyd-George on the face and back.
