TALISMAN CONSOLIDATED. [BY TKLEGBAPH — SPECIAL TO THE POST.] WAIHI, This Day. In the drive south at No. 13 level in the Talisman mine, the reef, which recently pinched very small, is again making: Btrongor, and about 2 feet 6 inches of quartz is now showing in the face. Tho ore exposed is low grade, but as the lode is encased in a good class of country values may come in as the drive is advanced. The development is interesting, in that it has proved that the Maria reef lives further south, at a .greater depth than it was proved in the leveli overhead The works of repairing and reineUtinjj the air compressers damaged by the recent fire in the old Woodstock battery and the installation of the big pumping and haulage plant in the "Woodstock Bhaft are being pushed forward as speedily as possible. The three new tube mills in the lalisman battery are now in commission, and other alterations and improvements are being effected to the treatment plant, with the object of increasing the extinction and reducing costs in this department.
