Wet weather also prevailed yesterday in the far north and ou the West Coast and southern districts of the South Island. Snow and hail were also reported this morning in high lands. Southerly winds have prevailed, and strong to gale on Saturday. Seas have been rough on the cast coast, and the harbourmaster at Gisborne reports that the liver has silted up very much lately.
