1 « j The New Zealand Motor Cycle Club 1 held a petrol consumption lest on Saturday afternoon over a course from Mercer1 street to the Upper Huit and back (42 2 miles), seven competitors starting. The r riders were despatched at g.lO p.m., 5 and reached town again at 4.45. The 2 winner was C. D. Bridge, on a 3£ h.p. t Minerva, whose consumption was equal r to 58.317 cut miles per pint, and he 4 receives a trophy to the value of one i guinea. L. R. Matthews and. H. B. r Wood took second and third places ret spectively. Mr. G. \V. Daniel acted - as judgp. The club proposes to hold a - hjll-climbing competition at an early , date.
