LACROSSE.
KELBURNE v. COLUMBIA. After a well-contested game Kelburne won from Columbia by 12 goals to 5. During the first spell Kelburne pulled away, notching five goals in quick succession. On changing ends Columbia took a hand, and by clever combined play temporarily disorganised the olues, and scored five times whilst Kelburna scored once. At half-time Kelburne led by 6 goals to 5. On resuming, Kelburne worked hard, and score 4 two more goals, . Columbia was unable to, break through. In the last quarter Kelburne continued to score, freely, and won by 12 to 5. It was a game of good lacrosse in parts, but useless ground-tussling was much in evidence. For Columbia, Maokay, O'Leary, Casey, Leydon, and Grant were prominent, whilst Kelburne's best were Seely, Webb, Proud, Loughnane, and Shaw. Mr. A. G. Anderson was referee, CAPITOL v. WELLINGTON. Capitol met and defeated Wellington at Duppa-street by 13 goals to 3. The game would undoubtedly have been much piore interesting had it not been for the fact that Ryder (Wellington) could not continue after the first quarter, owing to indisposition. For Capitol, Borrodale and Montgomery allowed some fine combined play." Forbes and Rankirt (2) also played ,-well. For the losers, Robinson, Bohan,' Penlington, and Murray bore the brunt of the hard task set before them after the retirement of * Ryder. GOLF, «. MIRAMAE CLUB.
