MUTUAL IMPROVEMENT CLUB.
The weekly meeting of the Weilington Railways Mutual Improvement and Social Club was held last evening, when there were about 100 members present. Air. A. E Pollock was in the chair. Mr. E. A. Dawsou (Traffic Inspector) gave a very interesting lecture on "Signals and Signalling,' 1 illustrated with model semaphores 'and diagrams. During tl;e evening those present pass, ed'ihe following resolution, which the ."secretary (Mr. A. Cassie) was instructed to forward to the Prime Minister :— "That the members of the Wellington Railways Mutual Improvement and Social 'Club place on record their profound sorrow at the death of- their beloved Sovereign, Kinj^ Edward VII., and take thL; opportunity of expressing their sympaihy and condolence with their beloved Queen Mother Ale::nndra, His Majesty King George V., Queen Victoria Ma*y, and the Royal Family in their sad bereavement, pnd Ik-''.
