« Messrs. George Thomas and Co., Fruit Exchange, repoit wholesale produce prices as follows : —N.Z. flour £11 10s, Australian £12 to £12 10s; whole fowl wheat, 4s 8d to 4s 9dj pollard, £5; bran, £4; prime "A" giade Gartori oats 2s 4d to 2s sd, "B" grade 2s 3d, "C" grade 2s 2d, Algerian and Duns 2s 3d to 2s sd; oatmeal, 25's, £11; feed barley, 2s 6d to 2s 9d; maize, 3s lOd to 4s; pearl barley, 15s per cwt; split peas 16s 6d to 17s, Prussian blue peas 5s 3d to 5s 6d, partridge peas 4s to 4s 6d; Derwent tablo potatoes £6 to £6 10s, \Up-to-date £5 10s to £5 15s. The value of new potatoes has considerably decreased, owing to large arrivals from all growing centres. This morning's values are as tollow : —Prime kidneys £7, round varieties £6 to £6 10s, Victorian onions (brown) £9 to £10, silverskins £10 10s to £11; prime oaten sheaf chaff, £3 10s to £3 15s; baled straw, 455; factory cheese, 6£d to 6_d; separator butter B£d to 9d, dairy butter 7£d to 8d; hams and bacon, factory, 8d to B£d; mixed fowls, 4s; ducks, 6s to 7s per pair; fresh eggs, Is Id to Is 2d per dozen; fungus, s£d per lb. The fruit market' is still without supplies of any magnitude of local stone friiits. A few cherry plums are to hand, and together with gooseberries, red currants, and rhubarb, are the only local varieties yet on the market, ' which is still dependent for dessert fruits on "Australia and the Islands. Prices this week for oranges, lemons, mandarins, apricots, cherries, and water melons, ex Moeraki from Sydney, were still on tho high grade, and we look for enhanced prices for next week's consignments of Fiji bananas and pineapples, which come to fill Christmas demands, ex Navua. There is a keen demand for vegetables, and larger supplies of green peas have caused market values to fall.
