A number of African sportsmen have offered, through the British South Africa Company, a thousand pounds for a match between Arnst, the world's sculling champion, and Barry, the English champion, the race to be rowed on the Zambesi River, at Victoria Falls, in August j the winner to take £760. Barry has accepted the offer. Tom Sullivan, the ex-New Zealand sculler, is willing to accompany Barry as trainer. Mr- Guy Nickalls will control the race.
