AUCTION AND PROPERTY SALES
Messrs. J. H. Bethune and Co. aro holding a property auction at their rooms on Wednesday next, Bth December, at 2.30 p.m., when the following properties will be offered : — A block of land in Kent-terrace, having a frontage of 64 feet by a depth of 105 feet, upon which formerly stood dwelling-house No. 43, recently destroyed by fire ; the site is adjacent to the principal tram routes of the city, and fronts a wood-blocked street, with a permanent reserve in front. A vacant allotment in Courtenay-place, 60ft from the. corner of Taranaki-street, and opposite Messrs. Rouse and Hurrell's fac-. Tory ; two residential sections in Glen-coe-avenue, off Wellington«terrace, on account of the estate of the late James Smith, to be sold in one lot, the reserve price being reduced in order to close the estate ; two building sites in Essex-str.eet, having a total frontage of 73 feet to a private right-of-w&y at the end of Essex-street, by a depth of 99ft 9in ; a corner property in Newtown, having frontages of 34ft 7in and 63ft 6in in Rintoul-street and Millwardstreet respectively, on which stands four-roomed dwelling, No. 45, Rintoulstreet ; a block of land at Khandallah, containing an area of 2 foods 10 perches, at the corner of York-street, and having 341 feet frontage, on which stands the eight-roomed dwellinghouse with outbuildings. The firm also insert an amended list of business and residential properties for private sale; also two 40ft sections in Kelburne ; a number of seaside sections at Plimmerton, and a suburban home at Miramar, comprising one and) a half acres of land, with eight-roomed residence. They advertise also a number of nouses to let both furnished and unfurnished. Messrs. W. H. Turnbull and Co. advertise in this issue their change list of City and suburban properties, also particulars of a property at Oriental Bay which they have for sale. I Messrs. Barraud, York and Co. publish in our advertising •columns particulars of sections for sale in Muritai ; also of a sheep farm at Masterton. Messrs. A. L. Wilson and Co. advertise particulars of sales they are holding during the next week. On Monday at 1.30, at 21, Nairn-street, they will sell on account of Mrs. Hewson the contents of nine rooms,* including Bohm piano ; on Tuesday at 1.30, on the premises. 145, Brougham-street, the contents of seven rooms, including a piano. The firm will" also hold a sale of furniture and pianos at their rooms, 26, Brandon-street, on Wednesday, an, 1.30, when part of catalogue comprises furniture sent in under distraint for rent by bailliffs' instructions. On Friday at 1.30 they will sell on the premises, 68, Salamanca-road, under instructions from a lady giving up housekeeping, the contents, of her seven-roomed house, including piano. Two residential sections, one in Macdonald-street, Karori, and the other in York-street, Miramar, will be offered by public auction by Messrs. Thom»on and Brown at their rooms. Custom-house-quay, on Monday, _20th December, 1909. The firm also insert elsewhere the change list of Wellington City and suburban property. Messrs Harcourt and Co. will sell by public auction., at the residence, No. 102, Tinakori-road, on Thursday, commencing at 11 o'clock, the household furniture; at 2.30 p.m. they will se'l the residence on the spot, being part town acre 648, having a frontage of 29ft 4in to Tinakori-road, by a depth of 120 ft (more or less), containing eight large rooms, bathroom, etc, and known as No. 102; also, on Thursday, 16th inst., at 2.30 p.m., the firm will sell, in their rooms, 195, Lambton-quay, part of town acre 876, having a frontage of 33ft to Daniel-street, by a depth of 132 ft (more or less), together with a four-roomed dwelling, and known as No. .124. On Tuesday the firm will sell, at 2.30 p.m., a section, situated in Orangi Kaupapa-road. Northland, having a frontage of 66ft to Orangi Kau-papa-road, by a depth averaging about 79ft, containing an area of 20.4 perches, together with the four-roomed dwelling. Messrs. Levien Shallcrass and Co. will hold a sale at the Central Auction Rooms this evening of - books, mostly modern works of fiction. The catalogue includes altogether about 550 volumes, and they are being sold without reserve. On Tuesday the same firm will hold their bi-weekly sale of furniture and effects. Particulars of a sale fixed for Friday appear in our advertising columns. -The furniture will be on view a few days before the sale. Attention is also drawn to the firm's advertisement of houses to let and properties for saie, Messrs. T. Kennedy Macdonald, Ltd., insert particulai-s in our advertising columns of a sale of household furniture,, piano, thoroughbred harness pony, gig, etc., on the premises, No. 1, Lloyd-street, off Pirie-street, on Monday next, at 1.30* o'clock, on account of Mr. Ernest H.. Oliver, who is returning to South Australia. On Wednesday they will sell, in their rooms, 157, Lambton-quay, a large catalogue of household furniture, including Chesterfield lounge, two oak 'sideboards ; and on Thursday, at 11 o'clock, they will sell three houses in Sussexsquare, for removal by order of the Public Works Department. The firm also insert particulars of a sale of household furniture on the premises, "Bryn-y-mor," Rawhiti-terrace, Kelburne, 'on Tuesday, 14th December, at 2 o'clock, on account of Rev. Dr. Tudor Jones, who [ is returning to England. Messrs. W. F. Shortt, Ltd., will hold a sale of household furniture at their rooms, Willis-street, on Monday, at 2 o'clock. Included in the catalogue is a 6ffc sideboard. Particulars are advertised in this issue.
