[bt telegbafh— mEss ausooiation.l HOKITIKA, This Day. A fire last night gutted Stephens Bros.' drapery establishment and residence, in Revcll-street. The insurances are :—ln: — In the South ' British office, £300 on the stock, £170 on the furniture, and £30 on the piano ; National oHice, £100 on the building and £150 on the stock ; Victoria office, £100 on the building. £160 on the stock. The Minimax Hand Fire Extinguisher is instantaneous in action, and can be used by a woman, a child, or one-armed man. A. T. Bate, Nathan's Buildings, Wellington, is the agent. — Advt.
