For the first half of the new fiscal •year immigration into Canada totalled 120,933 persons, including 56,486 Americans. Mr. W. J. Bryan, the Democratic candidate for the Presidency last year, spaaking at Winnipeg, said Canada was the only country in the world able to draw Americans from the United States and keep them. He saw'no objection to Americans becoming naturalised Canadians.
