PUBLIC BATHS MATTERS.
A SILT NUISANCE. An inspection visit to Te Aro Baths was made this morning by the"" City Council's Baths and City Reserves Committee, aecompanred by Messrs. Ludwig and Shields, as representatives of the I swimming fraternity. Suggested improvements were indicated and debated, ! and it is understood that a report from the committee will be submitted to the council at its next meeting. The com- : mittee will also report regarding Thorn- [ don Baths, and a nuisance said to be j caused there, during the prevalence of I certain winds, by the drifting in of silt from the locality at which the Harbour Board reclamation is being made.
